Arctic Golf Course is an 18-hole course situated at the Arctic Circle in northern Finland.
The town of Rovaniemi with all its services ( hotels, shopping centres etc.) and transportation connections (airport, railway station) is only a few minutes’ drive away.
Built at the feet of Ounasvaara, the first 9 holes of the course were designed by Pekka Simula in 1997. The course was completed in 2011 with the help of golf architect Lassi Pekka Tilander. The winding fairways on the forestry hillsides offer a relaxed golfing experience for a beginner but the narrow holes and differences in altitude are challenging also for more experienced golfers, especially when played from the back tee. The top of Ounasvaara fell offers beautiful views down to the valley of the rivers Kemijoki and Ounasjoki.
Our season begins at the end of May and lasts until mid-October. In summer it is possible to play around the clock under the midnight sun. Playing in the autumn amidst all the autumn colours is an unbelievable experience.
The clubhouse restaurant with a large terrace is ready to serve customers. There is a small pro shop in connection with the caddiemaster’s office. The locker rooms are equipped with showers. In the immediate vicinity of the club house there is also a driving range and practice areas for putting, chipping and pitching.
Welcome to enjoy an unforgettable golfing experience in Rovaniemi!
